Subway releases new cookie flavour for first time in four years
Subway is a place where people go for sandwiches and cookies.
The good news is that the fast-food chain announced that, for the first time in nearly four years, a new cookie flavor would be joining their ranks just in time for the Christmas season.
Subway restaurants in Australia and New Zealand will be selling the Choc Mint Cookie starting tomorrow, November 27. This cookie is only available for a short time.
The new cookie is a rich, double chocolate cookie that has a “refreshing” peppermint-flavored flavor and red and green chocolate droplets. It joins the existing fan favorites Chocolate Chip Rainbow Cookie, Double Chocolate Chip Cookie, Raspberry Cheesecake, and White Chip Macadamia Nut.
Rodica Titeica is the Subway director of marketing for Australia and New Zealand. She said that in the past two years, cookies have become almost as popular as Footlong subs.
It’s time to introduce a new flavor, Ms. Titeica said.
She said, “When people think Subway, they first think of Footlongs and then cookies.”
This year, we sold over 53.6 million cookies in Australia and New Zealand. This is two cookies per person per year.
“The brand equity we have built up in the cookies category is something to be proud of.”
