The Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast has taken out honours in the prestigious 2009 Restaurant and Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence.

The hotel’s stylish Waves Buffet Restaurant won the Best Casual Dining Buffet Restaurant in Queensland, and was only one of three Gold Coast establishments to win awards. Queensland’s largest hospitality and tourism awards highlighted the industries finest and the top performers for 2009.

Totally redeveloped and relaunched last October, the new Waves Buffet Restaurant has introduced interactive dining to Surfers Paradise. Restaurant features include a richly textured collage of oceanic colour, fresh local produce, timber furnishings, cool smooth stone, ambient lighting and
dramatic glass and stainless steel fittings, providing a striking new look for the
refurbished Waves Restaurant, yet its recipe for superb casual dining remains
untouched.

The simple fusion of fresh produce, amazing international flavours and obliging staff makes the buffet a popular choice for breakfast and dinner, served seven days a week. Housed within a contemporary glass and marble show-kitchen, inspired chefs exhibit their craft, catering to individual tastes by preparing all meals to order for breakfast or dinner.
